In partnership with other humanitarian organizations, International Care Outreach is working on strategies and plans to build medical clinics and provide health education in impoverished communities. The proposed clinics will include pharmacies, consultancy by nurses and doctors, lab for blood tests, nutrition and maternity section.

Hospital Project
ICO has put forward an ambitious plan to establish a modern hospital in Kenya. In order to provide quality inpatient and outpatient care to rural communities in Western Kenya. The proposed hospital is projected to have at least 100 beds and will house a well equipped pharmacy. The hospital is envisioned to have children’s and maternity care wings as well as wings for the treatment of infectious and waterborne diseases such as malaria, HIV, tuberculosis typhoid and dysentery.
Objectives
On completion, this facility will provide comprehensive prevention and treatment of malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis through deliberate indulgence in:
maintenance of well equipped laboratories, as well as having a state of the art inpatient as well as outpatient departments and a well equipped pharmacy. This will help facilitate and support procurement of antiretroviral and other medications;
integration of malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS care and treatment;
establishment of Pediatric Center of Excellence;
establishment of a Cancer Care Center.
Impact
It is envisaged that health care projects will:
1. Save lives by treating malaria, HIV, T.B and other diseases;
2. Improve the health of infants and mothers by providing prenatal services;
3. Allow pregnant women to give birth in sanitary conditions and help save the lives of babies with the assistance of qualified personnel. This will
reduce infant mortalities.
4. Provide health education (basic nutrition, hygiene, sanitation) and help to prevent diseases;
5. Contribute to the overall improvement of the nutritional and health situation of the community;
6. For the first time have a facility whose mission will focus on the care and treatment of cancer patients.
